Why is glass deflecting when PanelGrip® system is attached vertically to metal beam on vinyl decking?

The methods we show in our catalog and on our website are those that we have tested and can provide engineering data. Other attachments and substrates are possible but would need to be reviewed by an engineer to confirm their ability to meet code requirements. Also be aware that glass will deflect under load. While this deflection does not indicated failure, it may not be welcome in certain applications. Affixing the ends of the top rail will significantly reduce glass deflection under load.
